Turn up early! Heed my advice! Thais get in FoC, whereas "Foreigners" have to pay £7 to visit the grand palace, money museum and something else that we couldn't find. Remember to remove shoes, hats and do not take pictures when entering the shrine of the Emerald Buddah. And yes, the locals will most definitely notice if you try to sneak a shot in - whilst they're busy trying to force you out as quick as you were forced in. It's a tidal wave of hot, sweaty, incense burning humans that unrelentingly takes you through. Indeed, once inside, there's very little to see, as the little dude is perched atop a large pyramid-shaped pedestal. It even turns out that the little blighter is so revered that he has three outfits for the year. Yes you read that correctly, they change his attire during each season. That's some dedication to the cause, hey.

There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Private Pile, this gent is not.
Finally on to a mini construction of Ankhor Wat. In due course I'll visit this wonder of the world - but as an idea of scale, there are cities inside this thing.
