Toe Sucking

It's quite harmless, I promise you. They're perfect for the job - toothless, secreting a chemical that aids in regeneration. Personally I prefer to have more than one at once. And that's precisely what the Garra fish do - suck the dead skin from your feet (or anything else you care to dip in the water). Small and black, some only a few centimeters long, maturing in to orange goldfish-like in appearence, with whiskers.
After a very dissapointing meal, where it took an hour and a half from sitting down to eating, we found a small boutique hotel and decided to pay 150baht for 40mins of toe sucking. If you're ticklish or have sensitive feet, be warned, the first sensation is akin to million soft needles prickling gently at your feet. It soon passes and after half an hour you will have "less odour feet".
An interesting experience, one which has left me wondering just how much of a market there would be in the UK for it. Perhaps the animal facists may have a word or two on the subject, but nonetheless it seems like a high margin service to offer.
